Do you or your organisation work to support young people who are most at risk of being impacted by serious violence?

ROUND 5 OF ECOSYSTEM COLDHARBOUR MICRO GRANTS SCHEME OPENS 16th SEPTEMBER

Grants of up £3,000 - £5,000* are available through Ecosystem Coldharbour, open from Monday 16th September closing by midnight, Monday 14th October 2024.

About the Micro Grants Programme

The grants programme was set up to support individuals and communities in our hyperlocal area of the London Borough of Lambeth, previously known as the Coldharbour Ward and nearby surrounding areas. We are now launching the 5th round of the Ecosystem Coldharbour Micro Grants with funded projects receiving between £3,000 - £5,000*

A Targeted Grant Round

By direction of our funder; London’s Violence Reduction Unit we have a revised focus. Our targeted grants will be aimed at organisations already working with young people needing intensive support and who are at high risk of being impacted by serious violence.

The Fund is intended to help communities to respond to the challenges around gangs, gun and knife crime, and in particular support activities that encourage young people to change their lifestyles and shift mindsets away from gang culture and related offending.

*We welcome applications up to £5,000 but will consider higher bids that demonstrate significant impact or alignment with our goals. Please contact Jedidah Onchere at connect@ecosystemcoldharbour.org in the first instance to discuss this as we will not accept unsolicited applications above £5,000.

Eligibility - Successful applicants should:

  • Demonstrate their history of working with young people who are classed as high risk

  • Demonstrate strong safeguarding and risk management practices

  • Demonstrate how they respond to the challenges of tackling gun and knife crime within local communities

  • Apply for between £3,000 - £5,000

Key Dates and Timeline

  • Round 5 opens: Monday 16th September 2024

  • Round 5 closes: Monday 14th October 2024 (by midnight)

About Your Project

For example, we are looking for innovative small projects that effectively engage with those not visible to other services, or seek to work with young people seen as high risk as part of an organisation’s steering, leadership or capacity building. These examples aim to guide applicants and are not fixed areas of interest/activity.
