MyEnds 2.0: Building on Success and Driving Forward
We are thrilled to announce that the Violence Reduction Unit has recognised the exceptional work accomplished through MyEnds 1.0 and has committed to funding MyEnds 2.0 for at least the next two years. This continued support is a testament to the positive impact we have all made and the transformative change we have initiated within our community together.
Our Achievements with MyEnds 1.0
Over the past phase, MyEnds 1.0 has seen remarkable success in several key areas:
Training Young Leaders: Empowering the next generation with skills and confidence.
Grant Distribution: Allocating over £90,000 in grants to support local initiatives.
Building Partnerships: Establishing strong relationships with key community stakeholders.
Community Capacity Building: Enhancing the capabilities and resilience of local organisations.
The Vision for MyEnds 2.0
MyEnds 2.0 aims to build on this strong foundation, continuing to foster growth and development across our partnerships and within the community. The program will place a sharper focus on working with young people who are at an increased risk of being affected by serious violence. By providing targeted support and intervention, we aim to create significant, lasting change for these individuals and enhance the safety and well-being of the wider community.
What to Expect
The expanded focus of MyEnds 2.0 includes:
Enhanced Youth Support: Targeted programs for young people at higher risk.
Community Engagement: Continued capacity building and support for local leaders and ideas.
Safety Initiatives: Working closely with community stakeholders to improve overall safety.
We will be sharing more detailed information soon about how you can get involved and the exciting activities planned under MyEnds 2.0. Together, we can continue to drive positive change and create a safer, more vibrant community for all.
You can contact Mark Foster (mark@mlcommunity.co.uk) Development Lead and Project Manager for Ecosystem Coldharbour for more information, or if you would like to be involved.
